The Shigetoshi Hasegawa is a rookie card. The reason why it was added is because of its non-obvious nature. The final price may surprise some people. In other news, it’s really nice to see a 1997 Flair Showcase Masterpiece make the list this month. These are the first pack-issued 1/1s in the entire hobby.

Who is paying $500 for a Shigetoshi Hasegawa 1997 Flair Showcase Legacy Collection Row card. It boggles the mind. How many people in the world knows this card exists.
While I can’t confirm the location of the buyer, there’s a good chance that card would attract a very strong market in Asia so while the price is exceptionally high for what it is, I understand it. As far as existence, since he is part of the base set, he’ll have Legacy and Masterpiece parallels like everyone else. Thanks for reading and commenting.
I really like these Top 10 auction lists. Keep them coming if possible. The 1993 Finest Refractor Griffey is one of the most iconic cards of the decade. Great, great card.
FYI: I found another 1993 Griffey Finest Refractor that sold eBay auction style for $817.07 with 40 bids on 9/24/17. Amazing demand for this card, even when it is not in high grade.
Thanks, Brian. I love making these. Thanks for the heads up on that other ’93 Finest Refractor. I’ve updated the list with that example.
