I’d imagine we’ll be seeing more of him in coming lists given the influx of conversation happening surrounding his MLB placement. Hype, hype, and more hype. Hype or hope? I hope he does well. Truly, I do. We all know how much money has been spent on international prospects only to quickly realize they aren’t the supernatural beings we all expected them to be. In reality though, that’s an expected expectation. Nobody can live up to that kind of hype. However, I do wish Otani the best in his career and hope to see him flourish in the majors here in the states.
In other news, Jesus Sanchez and Starling Heredia both have strong presences this month. Aaron Judge and Cody Bellinger are still regulars. Finally, the Alex Bregman Superfractor ended minutes before the final game of the 2017 World Series and was immediately relisted for a $10k BIN. It didn’t last. Only the legitimate auction record has been added, which I think resulted in a very fair closing price.
