Think about how you’d feel if you opened a pack and pulled a Babe Ruth 1/1 Booklet only to find out the cut features someone else’s signature.
On one hand, you’d feel cheated. On the other hand you might feel like you just nabbed something special. The conversational value on a significant piece featuring the wrong cut is much more robust than that if the card was made correctly. There’s no shortage of Babe Ruth cards but one featuring some else’s cut signature is exceedingly rare because it wasn’t supposed to be made.
