Bryce Harper has done pretty well for himself. His baseball cards have climbed considerably since he first garnered attention around the summer months of 2010. After Stephen Strasburg hurt his shoulder, the hobby took to Bryce Harper to set things off and keep interest in the hobby and baseball as a whole. Bryce was scouted right out of high school and, like many who share a similar background, has had to carry the pressure and stress of social expectations. Sometimes, these expectations can be quite impossible to meet, and while some may buckle under the pressure and be pushed back to the minors or worse, quit the sport all together, Bryce has displayed a worthy sense of athleticism but not without a little bit of trial and error. He’s growing up like any adult and I’m rooting for him. The hobby and baseball needs more raw talent like Bryce and I hope he enjoys a healthy and vibrant career.
