1998 Bowman’s Best Mirror Image Fusion is a 20-card die-cut set with three unique parallels. Each card features a veteran on one side and a rookie on the other. Its presentation is quite beautiful. In the late 1990s, manufacturers inserted some parallels at astronomical rates. This set showcases that trend perfectly with each of its refractor parallels coming in at extremely high insertion ratios. The design upgrade on the atomic refractors has become generally known as, cracked ice, which actually appeared on cards as early as 1996 and has been used extensively ever since. The relatively small print runs of the two refractor parallels make them some of the hobby’s rarest and most desireable of the late 1990s. It’s for these reasons that master set build of 1998 Bowman’s Best Mirror Image Fusion is exceptionally challenging.
