It’s possible that more examples of this card could achieve the prestigious PSA 10 grade. Currently, this card is a pop 2.
The Derek Jeter 1996 Select Certified Mirror Gold represents the most valuable baseball card of the 1990s. There are some cards that simply don’t and likely won’t ever depreciate. This occurs often with key cards of top players. This card falls into that category. In just five years, the value of this card in this grade has increased over 494%. This could signal another increase if either of these examples ever change hands. For reference, here are the only PSA 10 examples of the 1996 Select Certified Mirror Gold Derek Jeter to date.

I know hockey isn’t the topic here, but I just purchased one of my childhood dream cards from this set in a PSA 10 Mirror Gold. It’s a Pop 1, Dominik Hasek 1996 PSA 10 Mirror Gold with the Peel still attached (it’s amazing).
Do you or anyone reading this know if the Hockey Mirror Gold’s from 1996 also have a print run of 30? I see some people saying yes, but I haven’t seen anything official yet or received an answer from someone who 100% knows the answer. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
P.S. I just recently found this website and I love all of the content. Please keep up the great work!
Thanks, Dominic! 🙂
While it’s not confirmed, it’s estimated that 24 copies of each of the Mirror Gold’s exist in the hockey line.
